Why My Community?

5-Day Club® is an exciting, fun-filled one hour session held each day for five consecutive days (It can be 3 or 4 days if needed.). A 5-Day Club® can identify a home in the neighborhood that is safe for a child to go to in times of trouble. It brings the teaching of biblical morality to his neighborhood. It connects the child and his family to others where they live, developing a good community spirit. When you teach God’s Word to children in your neighborhood, your neighbors learn what you believe. Community centers and housing complexes are also great places for a club.

Clubs can also be held in Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCA’s, daycares, churches, and more!

What Does it Look Like?

5-Day Club® is open to all boys and girls between the ages of five and twelve, regardless of religious background. Parents are welcome to attend the club with their child. High school and college-age students are prepared to teach 5-Day Clubs in a week-long summer training program (Christian Youth In Action™). CEF staff or Christian adults who have received comparable training from CEF® supervise them and sometimes teach with them. There is no charge for children to attend. All club workers have been carefully screened as required by the child protection policy of CEF®.

How Do I Schedule a 5-Day Club or Get More Information?

Please contact Kathryn (GNC Coordinator & Teacher Trainer) at CEFofNAL.gnc@gmail.com or 256-353-3139 or fill out the form below. Clubs are held in June and July and are usually at 9am-10, 11am-12, or 1:30pm-2:30 (times could be slightly different based on distance to next or from previous location).

What Do Neighborhood Hosts Do?

As a neighborhood host, you provide a location for the club (your home or neighborhood clubhouse, for example) and invite children ages 5-12. If possible, provide a simple snack for the children – this is your only expense for this program. We will provide a customized invitation that you can print, text, or email.
